Joanna Hansen

AIL Regional General Agent - Alaska

About Joanna Hansen

Originally from Soldotna, Alaska, Joanna Hansen was raised in a large family as the youngest of 6 children. After high school, she earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Alaska in Culinary Arts and Small Business Development. Over the next decade, she worked for the government before leaving to find a career that would allow her to help people while simultaneously having financial freedom.

At American Income Life-Altig (AIL-Altig) Hansen was drawn to the family-first values and possibility for financial freedom. She joined AIL-Altig in August of 2015. “This company is based on an ingenious fact that the more you help families and the more you help grow your team, the more you get paid.”

She was put on the fast track to management and in less than five months, Hansen was appointed to Master General Agent (MGA) in January of 2016. That following August, she was selected to attend the AIL-Altig Leadership Society Conference that accelerated her to being appointed Regional General Agent in February of 2017.

Hansen says the weekly mentorship and guidance from Vice President of Sales, Josh Olin, Director of Leadership Development, Todd Engelson, and several other leaders of the company have made her the manager she is today. Moving forward, Hansen is excited to mentor her new managers and expand the anchorage office to double its current size.

Currently, Hansen lives in Palmer with her husband, 11-year-old son, and is expecting her second child in the summer of 2017. In her free time, Hansen enjoys riding horses, going snowboarding, and spending time with her family and friends.
